Privacy Policy

Introduction

At Instant PC, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use our website, in accordance with the Omani Personal Data Protection Law.

Information we collect

  • Your name, phone number and email address when you create an account or place an order as a guest
  • Your delivery address when you place an order
  • Your order and purchase history
  • Your email address if you ask to be notified when a product is back in stock

How we use your information

  • To process and deliver your orders
  • To contact you about your order
  • To notify you when a product you are following is back in stock
  • To learn which products are most popular so we can improve what we offer in the store

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Required to run the website: the shopping cart, your login session, your language preference and faster page loading. These cannot be disabled because the website does not work without them.
  • Recently viewed products: we store the IDs of the products you browsed for 30 days to show them to you again.
  • Back-in-stock alerts: if you ask to be notified when a product is available, we store your email address in your browser for 90 days so we don’t ask you to sign up again for the same product.

We do not use any advertising trackers or third-party analytics tools. All of the cookies above are necessary for the website to work or for a service you requested yourself, and you can delete them at any time in your browser settings.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share it for third-party marketing purposes. We share it only with:

  • The delivery company: your name, phone number and address, to the extent needed to deliver your order.
  • Google Merchant Center: our product data only (name, price and availability) to show it in free shopping results. We do not send any data about you.
  • Our hosting provider (Hostinger): because it runs the servers the website runs on and sends our email from.
  • Our online payment provider (AmwalPay): when you choose to pay by card or Apple Pay, you enter your payment details directly in AmwalPay’s secure payment window, and we send them only the order amount and order number. Your card details never pass through our website and we do not store them.

Where your data is stored

The website and its database are hosted on Hostinger servers outside the Sultanate of Oman (currently in Malaysia).

This means your personal data is transferred and stored outside Oman. By using the website and placing an order, you agree to this transfer. We make sure to choose service providers that offer a level of protection no lower than what the Omani Personal Data Protection Law requires.

Data retention

  • Order and invoice records: kept for the period required by the Sultanate’s tax and accounting regulations, even after you delete your account.
  • Account data and saved addresses: deleted as soon as you delete your account.
  • Back-in-stock alert requests: deleted when you unsubscribe or delete your account.
  • Sent email log: deleted automatically after 30 days.

Data protection

We take reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, and the entire website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Your rights

  • Access and correction: you can edit your data yourself from your account page.
  • Deletion: you can permanently delete your account directly from your account settings (Log In → My Account → Delete Account). This deletes your account, saved addresses, alert requests and the log of emails sent to you. Only order and invoice records remain, for the period required by tax regulations.
  • Objecting to automated decisions: if a fully automated decision is made about you, you have the right to object to it and request a human review.
  • Complaints: you have the right to file a complaint with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

Data protection officer

For any request or question about your personal data (accessing, correcting or deleting it, or objecting to its use), contact our data protection officer by email at [email protected]. This is the official channel for data requests, and we respond to any request within 45 days at most.
